YARD SALE

FNL wants your castoffs! We are soliciting your unwanted household items to support our fund raising efforts. Items can be dropped off at NEW HOPE COMMUNITY CHURCH or we can arrange for transportation.

Donuts and coffee will be sold in the morning as well as a hot dog meal at noon. Tell your friends...come on out and find new treasures!

HOW FNL BEGAN

Sandie Kay Graves had a vision of a weekly hot meal for Yakima's hungry and homeless population. In late July, 2008 she shared her dream with her Senior Pastor who in turn challenged Sandie to find the means to support the concept for an eight-week trial period.

On Friday night, October 17th, 2008, Friday Night Live served it's first meal on the greenway of Naches Avenue between Chestnut and Walnut. We set up tables and chairs and a serving line that handed out 200 plus meals to hungry people that night.

That was the beginning of what has become a weekly outreach that has run for twenty-four consecutive months. With the support of New Hope Community Church the ministry blossomed in those first months. Soon other community entities joined hands with FNL: churches, businesses, organizations and the all important individuals who have volunteered countless hours to keep the outreach going strong.

We have witnessed lives being changed. Those we once served now have an active role in serving others. We've seen some of our friends go through drug and alcohol treatment and who are now living clean and sober lives.
